The Tastet Guide to the Most Beautiful Terraces in Montreal

Montrealers have a very special relationship with terraces. As soon as the first warm days of spring arrive, we rush to the first outdoor table we can find, and soak up the sunshine. It’s a matter of life or death.
Since the terrace season is (too) short in our northern climate, we want to make the most of it. That’s why we’ve put together this guide to our favourite terraces in the city.
This guide is by no means an exhaustive directory of all the terraces in Montreal. Rather, it’s a list of our favourites: the most spectacular ones, the ones where we eat the best, the hidden gems, and the ones where we simply feel at home.
Do you have other exceptional terraces to suggest? Don’t hesitate to make a suggestion by following the link at the bottom of the page!
Happy discoveries! But above all, have a great summer!
Special mentions
- Club Espagnol de Québec (it’s in Montreal, despite the name!)
- Perché, Terrasse William Gray, Terrasse sur l’Auberge, Terrasse Nelligan and Terrasse Place D’Armes (for the view on Old Montreal and the Old Port)
