Le Marché des Saveurs du Québec Celebrates 25 Years of Terroir
This year, Le Marché des Saveurs du Québec celebrates its 25th anniversary — a quarter century dedicated to showcasing Québec’s terroir. Founded in 1998, the shop settled into Jean-Talon Market in 2000 and is now run by Isabelle Drouin and Simon Beaudoin, who proudly carry on this family legacy with passion. Together, they continue the mission of offering in Montréal an exceptional showcase for more than 200 local producers and artisans, while serving as a vital bridge between these creators and the city’s food lovers.
A Go-To Fromagerie for the Holidays
With over 200 cheeses — mostly from Québec — the cheese counter remains one of the pillars of Le Marché des Saveurs du Québec. The team creates beautiful, ready-to-serve platters of local cheeses and charcuterie, custom-built to suit every taste and budget. Raclette lovers will also find an impressive selection of raclette cheeses from various regions across Québec, perfect for festive, convivial evenings.
A Butcher Shop at the Heart of the Gourmet Offer
To round out its terroir-driven offering, Le Marché des Saveurs du Québec added a butcher counter in recent years, showcasing local meats from small Québec producers. You can enjoy excellent cheeseburgers on site, along with a variety of ready-to-go dishes that make everyday meals that much easier.
A Selection of Québec Alcohols for Every Taste
Le Marché des Saveurs du Québec also features a dedicated section for Québec-made alcohols, offering an outstanding snapshot of local craftsmanship — a beautiful selection of Québec wines, ice ciders and traditional ciders, as well as beers from Québec microbreweries.
