50 Best: A New Ranking to Celebrate North American Gastronomy

The prestigious 50 Best group, known for its famous World’s 50 Best Restaurants ranking, has just announced exciting news: the launch of a list entirely dedicated to North America. For the first time, the United States, Canada, and certain Caribbean regions will have their own ranking, shining a spotlight on the continent’s best dining establishments.

This initiative mirrors other regional lists already established by 50 Best, including those for Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East & North Africa. The goal? To offer recognition to the chefs and restaurateurs who are shaping the North American culinary scene.

The North America’s 50 Best Restaurants list will be determined by a panel of 300 independent experts from the world of gastronomy: chefs, restaurateurs, culinary critics, and food connoisseurs. No paid entries or specific criteria are required for eligibility, an approach focused solely on rewarding excellence and innovation.

The first edition of the ranking will be unveiled later this year during an official ceremony, the details of which will be announced soon. One thing is for sure: this new list promises to shine a light on exceptional establishments, from Texan BBQ joints to fine dining destinations, and hidden gems from Quebec and beyond.

We can’t wait to discover which restaurants from here and elsewhere will make the list!
