Relive the pleasure of Le 9e’s Grand Hall, five lunches and dinners in July.

Le 9e - Spécial juillet 2025

A Parisian bouillon in the heart of Montreal: Le 9e brings French tradition back to life for five lunches and dinners.

Your mother or grandmother may have fond memories of eating in the grand and magnificent “9th floor of Eaton’s.” Now’s your chance to share that emotion with her.

A Treat at Le 9e

From Wednesday, July 9 to Sunday, July 13, lunches and dinners, Montreal will beat to the rhythm of Paris with an exclusive gastronomic experience offered by Le 9e. The iconic Grand Hall of the Eaton building will host a one-of-a-kind pop-up event inspired by traditional Parisian bouillons. It’s a unique opportunity to savor French cuisine in an Art Deco setting recognized as a heritage landmark.

Under the guidance of renowned chefs Liam Hopkins and Derek Dammann, the initiative pays tribute to bouillons—popular canteens born in 19th-century France, known for their comforting, simple, tasty, and affordable meals.

Evocative Dishes

In Montreal, this tradition takes on a new twist, elevated by seasonal ingredients sourced from Quebec’s terroir. On the menu: $3 œufs mayonnaise, $5 celery rémoulade, $9 quenelles with Nantua sauce, $15 garlic escargots, $19 white sausage (boudin blanc), and $29 roast beef with jus. All of it served with carafes of house wine at friendly prices, in a warm and lively atmosphere.

And Music as the Final Ingredient

Each day will also feature live jazz and classic French music, enhancing the charm of this immersive Parisian experience. “We’re bringing something humble and grand back to life,” says Marco Gucciardi, Director of Operations at Le 9e. “It’s about honoring tradition while having fun—sharing simple, delicious dishes in a spectacular setting.”

Reservations are strongly recommended, as space is limited and demand is high. To ensure everyone gets a chance to enjoy the event, each reservation comes with a two-hour time slot. A gourmet escape at Le 9e—a little taste of Paris, right here in our city.
