Chez Samedi: The Pizza Pop-Up by Automne Boulangerie

Chez Samedi is the story of a wild passion for pizza brought to life in the bread ovens of the Automne Boulangerie team. Karim Hammouda and Julien Roy, two die-hard pizza lovers, decided to combine their passion with their baking expertise to create something simple, comforting — and above all, delicious — every other Saturday.
Following the success of Karim Pizza, a twice-monthly pop-up that quickly built a loyal following, Karim decided to relaunch the idea. “I wanted something a little more anonymous, something more universal,” he explains. And that’s how Chez Samedi was born — a new pop-up concept running all summer long. “After lots of testing, we finally found the perfect balance. The pizza is crispy, light, and juicy,” he adds enthusiastically. Sounds tempting, doesn’t it?
The secret lies in the dough, carefully developed to bake beautifully in the bakery’s wood-fired ovens. Tested, retested, and perfected, this dough is the real deal. The 16-inch pizzas are ideal for sharing, and the toppings are simple yet spot-on: cheese, pepperoni, and tomato sauce — plus fun twists like pickles and yellow mustard. And for dessert? A pineapple upside-down cake, Karim’s all-time favorite.
The pop-up happens every other Saturday throughout the summer. There’s no table service, but you can grab one of the fifteen indoor seats or head outside to the picnic tables. Orders are placed online through their website, with reservations opening every Sunday before the event.
