Restaurants open on Monday evening

Almost every week, our readers ask us for help finding a restaurant where they can dine on a Monday night. We admit—it’s no easy task. After bustling weekends, most Montreal restaurants take a well-deserved break at the start of the week, closing their dining rooms for a day or two to recharge. After all… everyone deserves a little rest, right?

That said, we know how frustrating it can be to constantly come across closed restaurants when you’re looking for a good meal on a Monday evening.

While Mondays in Montreal tend to be quieter, that doesn’t mean you have to settle for a lackluster dining experience. Whether you’re planning a romantic dinner, a night out with friends, or simply looking to avoid cooking after a long day, there are fortunately plenty of great restaurants that keep their doors open on Mondays. And contrary to what some might assume, these spots don’t just offer a bare-minimum service—many of them maintain the same high standards and attention to detail as the rest of the week.

To save you time searching online (and avoid disappointment), we’ve put together a list of excellent restaurants that welcome guests for dinner on Monday nights! While this list isn’t exhaustive, it includes a variety of options that are sure to satisfy different tastes.

Looking for a place to have lunch on a Monday? Check out our list [here].
