The restaurant Les Botanistes is a continuation of the Floralies Jouvence garden centre, and is the project of Paul Daoust’s wife, the owner of the garden centre. Just a few steps away from each other, the two establishments complement each other in perfect symbiosis. Inside, the plants and flowers are so lush and enveloping that you almost feel as though you’re in a greenhouse; or the Botanical Gardens!

A fresh, vegetable-focused menu

Contrary to what its name might suggest, Les Botanistes is not a vegan or vegetarian restaurant. While fresh produce reigns supreme in Emeline Péro’s cuisine, there are still many options that feature animal proteins. The French-born chef offers light, easy-to-digest dishes featuring local, seasonal produce. Presentation-wise, nothing is left to chance with the aesthetics of the dishes. Colourful and delicate, they are each their own little homage to nature and freshness.

Brunch, lunch and dinner!

If you want to immerse yourself completely in the world of Les Botanistes, we recommend coming in the evening. The menu changes frequently, and is guided by seasonal products.

The lunch menu—that changes weekly—consists of 3 startes, 3 mains and 3 desserts.

The brunch formula, offered on Saturdays and Sundays, includes an appetizer, a main course and a dessert.

A quenching offer

Unsurprisingly, their wine and cocktail list also focuses on freshness.

“We propose evolving cocktails that explore seasonal and/or sometimes forgotten products”, shares the mixologist of the house, Félix Maréchal.

The wine list consists of organic and biodynamic wines, highlighting the work of small producers and artisans.

Les Botanistes is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful restaurants in Quebec City, and their food is fresh, delicious, and inventive.

Happy discovery!
