- Bakery Counter Sandwich shop
Miette Boulangerie, a beloved bakery in the Sud-Ouest, is writing a new chapter with Miette Sandwicherie, a neighborhood spot already known for serving some of the best sandwiches in Saint-Henri. Located on Notre-Dame Ouest, right next to brunch favorite Arthurs, the new counter carries the same philosophy as the original: simplicity, quality, and artisanal craftsmanship—now applied to the art of the sandwich.
Step inside, and the charm is immediate. Bright and inviting, the space recalls the feel of cozy European bakeries where you pop in daily for coffee and a perfectly made bite.
The menu may be short, but each option is carefully executed. The salmon gravlax sandwich is a highlight, served on a sesame English muffin with crème fraîche and shallots—delicate yet packed with flavor. The reimagined club sandwich layers roasted turkey, pickles, tomatoes, cheese, aioli, and avocado between slices of sourdough. For something more classic, the tuna sandwich shines with sun-dried tomatoes and capers, nestled in olive bread that adds character.
Our standout favorite remains the roasted chicken sandwich. Seemingly simple, it is wonderfully comforting: tender chicken, cheese, and fresh herb labneh, all in soft whole-wheat bread. It’s the kind of creation that proves why Miette Sandwicherie is already considered a destination for the best sandwiches in Saint-Henri. Vegetarians will also love the hummus, carrot, and cucumber salad sandwich, full of texture and color.
True to Miette’s spirit, details matter here too. House-made extras like spicy chili oil and garlic breadcrumbs add flavor to meals at home. On the sweet side, the cardamom-braided brioche and rich chocolate brownies remind us that Miette masters pastries as much as savory fare.
With Miette Sandwicherie, the team has captured the essence of a great sandwich: exceptional bread, carefully chosen fillings, and flawless execution. A new must-visit in Saint-Henri, and undeniably one of the top spots for the best sandwiches in Montreal.
