Siamo Noi Opens Its Doors Today! The newest project from Novantuno Hospitality has arrived in the elegant RoyalMount. After months of construction and meticulous planning, this legendary hospitality group welcomes you into a stunning setting, offering a unique luxury experience, a vibrant atmosphere, and a refined Italian menu.

“The name ‘Siamo Noi’ means ‘It’s us’ in Italian. This restaurant represents us completely. It’s our culture, our heritage, our childhood memories of our grandmothers in the kitchen, our passion for soccer, fashion, and the Italian dolce vita,” explains co-owner Massimo Lecas. “It’s not just a restaurant—it embodies everything we love about Italy. We wanted people to feel that connection the moment they hear the name. We are Italian! We are Italian culture, deeply rooted in what we’ve been doing since 1991.”

The restaurant was born from the collaboration of iconic figures in the industry: Massimo Lecas (formerly of Buonanotte, now owner of Fiorellino, Stellina, and the soon-to-open Mare), Roberto Pesu (formerly of Buonanotte, now owner of Jellyfish, Jellybar, and soon Mare), along with Jade Gazaille and Alfonso Mangione leading front-of-house operations, and Marco Bertoldini, an Italian-Canadian chef. Having worked together for years, they have become a true family of restaurateurs.

“This project is the result of years of hard work, our travels, and our shared passion for Italian culture, for Montreal, and for hospitality.”

“When the RoyalMount project came to us, it was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up. It’s the first shopping center of this scale to open in Quebec in 50 years. We wanted to be part of this new chapter for Montreal, especially alongside prestigious partners like Moët Hennessy, Louis Vuitton, and other major luxury brands. After 34 years in the industry, we thought: If we’re going to take on a big challenge, it’s now.”

A Stunning Décor

The interior design was entrusted to Kayla Pongrác, a renowned Toronto-based designer who has worked in London, Ottawa, Miami, and Toronto. This marks her first project in Montreal! The design draws inspiration from the colors of Italy’s dolce vita—chic, comfortable, and spacious. “Kayla perfectly captured the essence of what we wanted: an elegant yet inviting space where you feel transported to Italy without leaving Montreal.”

The open-concept space accommodates 150 guests, with a kitchen fully exposed to the action.

“We wanted to recreate a typical day in Italy. You start with an aperitivo at the bar, enjoying cicchetti—those little Venetian bites like baccalà tartlet with butter and anchovies. Then, you move to the table to savor classic dishes, finishing with tiramisu prepared right in front of you. It’s the dolce vita experience: eating well, taking your time, enjoying the moment. We drew inspiration from film scenes like The Talented Mr. Ripley—that atmosphere where you feel completely immersed in Italy.”

A Culinary Experience

The menu is designed to be simple and timeless. The must-tries? Homemade pasta and tableside service, where you can watch, right before your eyes, a tiramisu assembled à la minute, a crispy Milanese cutlet, creamy fettuccine Alfredo, or a salt-crusted fish carefully carved at your table. The idea is to share a meal just like family, gathered around the table.

The wine list, curated by Antonio Salvi, highlights Italy’s finest wines, complemented by a selection of French and American gems. As for cocktails, the house reimagines the great classics with recipes deeply rooted in Italian tradition.

“Honestly, this is our biggest project yet. We want this restaurant to stand alongside the finest establishments in London, Miami, Dubai, or New York. Our goal? To deliver a wow factor at every level—décor, service, hospitality, and cuisine. Montreal deserves culinary destinations of this caliber, and with this restaurant, we aim to create an exceptional venue that’s easily accessible by car!”

Bonus: The venue also features a stunning bar on the ground floor, perfect for those who simply want to enjoy a drink. Siamo Noi is the spot for a chic, lively dinner in the RoyalMount district. Come for delicious pasta, stay for the vibrant atmosphere and stylish crowd. Arrivals are made via an elevator that opens directly into the dining room, creating a spectacular entrance every time!
