Mother’s Day Brunch: Where to Go?
Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and to celebrate these extraordinary people, we’ve put together a list of great spots to brunch with your mom.
In this selection, you’ll find suggestions for all kinds of moms, because of course, every mom is one of a kind. Whether you’re looking for somewhere chic, something more laid-back, a festive vibe, or an original spot, there’s something for everyone. After all, this day is the perfect occasion to spoil her and treat her to an outing that feels just like her.
And if you’re looking for even more inspiration, take a look at our list of the best brunches in Montreal as well as our selection of the best tea rooms.
While brunch remains a Mother’s Day classic, some addresses have also dreamed up lovely evening offerings to mark the occasion.
Terroirs is a values-driven table that puts Quebec artisans and products in the spotlight with a gourmet, local approach. Since the restaurant is closed on Sundays, Mother’s Day is being celebrated differently this year, from May 6 to 9, with the Festin du Capitaine, a 100% Quebec sharing menu served in five courses at $150 per person. A seasonal offering built around crab and freshly caught products from the St. Lawrence, available just in time to celebrate the captains of our lives.
At Joséphine, Mother’s Day is being celebrated this year in the evening, under the theme “Seafood, made by mothers, for mothers.” On Saint-Denis Street, this bistro-style spot is offering a deeply heartfelt experience for the occasion, designed in collaboration with the mothers of the team, including a singer and a cook. A touching way to honor Mother’s Day!
For Mother’s Day, Hoogan et Beaufort will offer a dinner on Sunday, May 10, marking the launch of its spring menu.
Some Montréal addresses are also offering ready-to-go meal boxes to celebrate Mother’s Day at home, without too much prep work. A lovely option to spoil mom with a gourmet meal, from the comfort of home.
We especially recommend the “Boîte à maman” from Verdun Beef, a three-course menu for two at $119, designed to be easy to reheat and enjoyable to share at home. Available in limited quantities and by pre-order here.
Another option we love is the Mother’s Day box from Édouard et Léo for two, offered at $155 also by pre-order. This meal box highlights dishes carefully crafted from fresh, seasonal ingredients. From light, flavorful starters to indulgent desserts, the offering makes for a generous, well-thought-out meal. Two lovely ways to mark the occasion at home, without sacrificing the pleasure of eating well.
Finally, we want to extend a huge thank you to all moms for their daily dedication. Always there, always full of surprising energy, and always ready to find the right words to comfort us. Without them, life simply wouldn’t be the same. We can’t say it enough: moms deserve to have time taken to celebrate them. Here are a few suggestions to offer them a moment that lives up to everything they bring to our daily lives.
P.S.: don’t forget to book ahead for your Mother’s Day brunch.
