We fell in love with Crèmerie Oaké, which offers artisanal frozen delights. This spot is a hit among outdoor enthusiasts and anyone passing through the area. The team’s hospitality is legendary, and their ice creams are absolutely decadent.

You’ll find hard ice cream, gelato, and soft serve, along with several other artisanal creations. Everything is made in-house, with a focus on local products, except for certain ingredients like pistachios, which come directly from Italy—an exception we can forgive! Their pistachio gelato is to die for! The Reese’s ice cream is one of the best we’ve had the pleasure of tasting, but don’t miss the coffee flavor: it’s a treat! This place is definitely on our list of favorite spots in Bromont.

The decor is beautiful and welcoming, with a space specially designed for children. The venue is very comfortable, featuring several picnic tables outside and a lovely porch for rainy days.

Chantal Bédard, a nurse by profession, decided to dive in and launch a semi-retirement project after completing her MBA. “At first, the plan was to open a cheese factory, but it transformed into an ice cream shop because we wanted to reach families. Éric [her husband] was a fan of ice cream—so much so that he was happy to have his wisdom teeth removed just so he could enjoy ice cream for days without guilt,” explains Chantal. The idea came after a trip to Italy. “We were often on Mount Oak, and I noticed that not all children were fond of hiking and mountain biking. I wanted to make the experience more positive for them by offering a reward after their physical efforts,” the owner adds. After two years of preparation, Crèmerie Oaké was born in July 2023 at the foot of Mount Oak. Thanks to numerous training sessions abroad, Éric Brunelle, who worked as a master ice cream maker, developed amazing recipes that are worth the trip on their own.

In May, the Bromont community was shaken by Éric’s sudden passing. “Without our team, I don’t know if we could have reopened. We are also very fortunate to have such a beautiful community around us.” The ice cream shop employees decided to carry on his legacy in his honor and pay tribute to his recipes. “Éric’s passion was truly contagious, and I’m glad the girls decided to step up and learn to recreate his recipes,” Chantal concludes.

If you get a chance to visit them, please say hello from us. Crèmerie Oaké, thank you for your warm welcome!
