Tordu is a place where every detail is designed to surprise. Created by two long-time friends, Daniel Safi and Khaled Abdelfattah, this Montreal café brings to life a space where every element—from drinks to desserts—is “twisted” in the most playful sense of the word.
“It was our dream to open a café together, and we are truly grateful to finally be here,” emphasize the owners. Daniel, the creative soul behind the concept, designed the logo and the entire visual aspect, while Khaled primarily manages Tordu. As soon as you step through the door, you are welcomed by a smiling and warm team. Among the must-tries is their refreshing soda-based drink, enhanced with coffee or matcha foam. It’s both surprising and, above all, delicious. They also offer iced coffees available in various fruity flavors, all made with fresh, natural ingredients. We tried their strawberry matcha iced drink, refreshing and perfectly sweet.
That’s not all; for dessert lovers, the café’s signature dessert—the tiramisu topped with ice cream—is pure bliss. It’s a super simple dessert, but so good! Let’s not forget their soft-serve ice cream with acai and vanilla, a must-try according to the owners. You will also soon find gourmet sandwiches on the menu.
With its refreshing drinks and decadent desserts, Tordu is a new destination to try if you’re in the area. The space is beautifully decorated, charming, but very small, with only a few seats. It’s a wonderful addition to the neighborhood!
Happy discovering!
