After a particularly trying year and a half for the restaurant industry, many restaurants will be open this December 24th. We welcome this return to “normal” where families and friends can finally sit down together to celebrate with a good meal!

While many restaurants have decided to close their doors during the holidays to give their staff a well-deserved break after the storm, a few will remain open to serve you. Here are a few places that will be open on the 24th.

Bloomfield, Caroline Dumas’ charming restaurant will be open on December 24th in the evening and on the 25th for brunch. The chef is preparing a special menu for the holidays.

Darna Bistroquet, a small neighborhood bistro in La Petite-Patrie that offers comfort food reminiscent of France and the Mediterranean, great natural wines and an engaging atmosphere, will be open on December 24.

Tuck Shop: During the holidays, Tuck Shop will be open on December 24th! That said, they will be exclusively open for pick up of their Christmas dishes as well as their lovely Christmas market. The dishes are always prepared with a pretty awesome balance of textures and flavors.

Aliments Viens: From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Aliments Viens will be holding their open house on December 24! Butcher Philip Viens and his team prepare some of the best deli meats in town. It’s a must for the holidays.

Mano Cornuto: Mano Cornuto will be open on the 24th before taking a few days off. The Italian-influenced restaurant is also a good place to pick up a bottle of wine for dinner.

Épicerie Conserva: If you’re missing a few items to complete your grocery list, Épicerie Conserva will be open on December 24th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for your last minute shopping, or to pick up your holiday menu.

Panama Rotisserie: The Greek rotisserie, Panama, is open on the 24th! You’ll be able to order all of their Mediterranean-style specialties, so you can travel safely.

Butterblume: The charming Butterblume counter is open on the 24th from 11 am to 3 pm for your last minute shopping. In addition to all their available treats, they also have great bottles of wine, flowers and cookbooks/magazines that make great little gifts.

Bloom Sushi: For vegan sushi, Bloom Sushi is one of the best spots in town. Their platters are simply beautiful! They are open on December 24 from 12pm to 5pm if you feel like ordering.

L’Entre-Pots: The small neighborhood restaurant/cafe will be open from 9am to 2:30pm on December 24 for local comfort food.

Lecavalier Petrone: For your last-minute treats, Lecavalier Petrone will be open on December 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Boulangerie Guillaume: Boulangerie Guillaume will be open on December 24th in case you run out of loaves of bread or croissants!

Café Larue: If you’re in need of coffee, stop by Café Larue, they are open on December 24th from 8am to 1pm.

Tri-Express: This is one of the best sushi restaurants in Montreal! Tri Express will be open on the 24th from 5 to 8 pm. Beware! They take the last orders at 7:30 pm.

Club Social P.S.: Club Social, with its great pizza, natural wine and delicious coffee, will be open on December 24 from noon to 3 p.m.

La Raclette: The traditional raclette and fondue restaurant of the Plateau Mont-Royal will be open for services at 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm. It will close its doors at 10pm on the 24th to celebrate Christmas and will be back on December 27th.
