Patio Patio has taken over the former Brasserie T! space, bringing sunshine and Mediterranean flair to Sainte-Thérèse. Led by the same team behind the Boating Club — one of our favourites in Laval — this new project is already winning hearts with its vibrant atmosphere and delicious cuisine.

At the helm of the kitchen is the talented Jean-François Vachon (formerly of L’Express), serving as executive chef. His menu draws inspiration from the Mediterranean, with a focus on sharing, freshness, and bold, flavourful dishes.

We recommend starting your experience with one of their house-made dips, served with za’atar-dusted pita chips — crispy, perfectly seasoned, and addictive. The mutabal — a creamy dip of eggplant, tahini, sheep’s yogurt, lemon, and pomegranate — strikes a perfect balance between richness and brightness. The tirokafteri, a mix of feta, roasted peppers, and mint, will instantly transport you to Greece.

Then come the small plates meant for sharing. The focaccia and tapenade pair beautifully with the pata negra de bellota, a remarkably refined Spanish ham.

Among the starters, it’s hard not to fall for the croque-mortadelle — a decadent twist on the croque-monsieur, filled with mortadella and truffled pecorino, served atop stracciatella and pistachio salsa. The Caesar-style sucrine reimagines the classic with grilled baby romaine, whole white anchovies, Louis d’Or cheese, guanciale, and a creamy tonnato sauce — a standout dish. And if the shrimp guédille (a Quebec-style roll) is on the menu, don’t hesitate.

Among the main courses, the rabbit Bolognese pasta is generous and comforting, with a flavourful ragù, pecorino, lemon, and pea shoots. The Quebec lamb shoulder is perfectly braised — crispy on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth tender inside — and served atop fregola sarda (a pearl-shaped Sardinian pasta) with tomatoes, almonds, and preserved lemon. It’s a true Italian escape. The Gaspésie halibut, pan-seared à la meunière and paired with a silky cauliflower-tahini purée, is equally well-executed.

Service at Patio Patio is warm and attentive. The staff takes time to guide you through the menu — always with a smile.

The vibe shifts with the time of day: at lunch, the space is bright and relaxed — ideal for a business lunch or casual meet-up. Come evening, the atmosphere becomes chic and lively, with upbeat music that makes you want to linger. Whether it’s a romantic dinner or a fun group outing, Patio Patio fits the mood.

The décor, designed by Atelier Zébulon Perron, is spectacular. Think Mediterranean resort: parasols, fountains, striped awnings — every detail is curated to transport you elsewhere. And the terrace? A dream. You’d swear you were in Monaco.

Patio Patio brings a Mediterranean breeze to the Laurentians. Come for the food, stay for the escape — and leave with a smile, feeling just a little lighter. Enjoy the discovery!
