Tucked inside a charming ancestral home in Old Mascouche, La Bine is the ultimate brunch destination on the North Shore. Here, you instantly feel at home—only with a menu that takes brunch far beyond the classics. It’s no wonder this spot easily earns a place among our Lanaudière favorites!
Inspired by the seasons and the team’s creativity, the menu is divided into three sections: Les Tites Vites (for those in a hurry), Les Partageux (a tasting menu for those who want a bit of everything), and the à la carte brunch. The latter offers no fewer than 14 choices, all designed to surprise and delight.
Among the standouts, the gnocchi & cheese is impossible to ignore—house-made gnocchi, cheddar sauce, bufarella from Fromagerie Fuoco, parsley butter, and grilled bread. Pro tip: add the pork belly—you won’t regret it. Another must-try is the “queue de siffleux” (fried dough) with fried chicken, a house twist on chicken and waffles that changes with the seasons. In its Caesar salad version, it’s a true gem—Cajun fried chicken, romaine, Caesar dressing, lemon, capers, poached egg, and Le Parmed’or cheese from La Ferme Vallée Verte. We also loved the Jamaican version, with jerk chicken, spiced grilled pepper sauce, and mango salsa—not to mention that signature fried dough that makes the dish unique.
Sandwich lovers will be tempted by the Coco BLT, a reimagined classic with scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and Tête Dure cheese, while the Club La Bine—a twist on the traditional club sandwich with fried chicken, fried egg, bacon, lettuce, tomato, spicy mayo, and toasted bread—comes with ranch potatoes or salad. And of course… there’s the namesake Bine: old-fashioned baked beans, poached egg, braised ham, and grilled bread.
For a sweet finish, the French toast bar is a must-stop: classic with maple syrup and salted caramel, a cream-and-fresh-fruit version, or a bold creation with house-made cherry cola.
Kids 12 and under get their own feast: mac and cheese with bacon, French toast, breakfast croissant, gravlax sandwich, or grilled cheese with fried baby potatoes—and more!—all served with a small juice.
The experience continues in the bakery section, with in-house creations like Germaine’s doughnuts, chocolate-custard croissants, or the classic cheese bread. The shop also offers local finds: caramels from La Lichée, stickers by Québec artists, candles, private-import wines, mugs… and even banh mi-style sandwiches to go. Lunch boxes are also available—perfect for a picnic or a quick lunch on the move.
The setting adds to the charm, with vintage tableware, retro furniture, and the warmth of a breakfast at grandma’s. In summer, the barn out back transforms into a farmhouse-style patio with wooden chairs and a laid-back country vibe.
La Bine is the kind of place where you take your time to savor, chat, and leave feeling like you’ve just had brunch at a friend’s house—only with a menu you won’t find anywhere else.
