Satay Brothers

Satay Brothers is a must-visit for lively and affordable dining experiences. It always boasts an electrifying atmosphere. We particularly enjoy their delicious buns and impeccable laksa soup, but the cocktails are also delightful. Moreover, the menu offers several options that will delight children, such as satays and fried chicken. It’s a highly enjoyable, affordable spot that’s always bustling.

Miracolo

Miracolo

Miracolo, the Italian cousin of Majestique and Darling, offers a cuisine inspired by traditional recipes with North American accents and local ingredients. The eclectic decor, filled with candles and Madonnas, is stunning. Unlike Majestique and Darling, which have bar permits, Miracolo holds a restaurant license. Families with children are welcome to enjoy a meal together here!

BarBara Vin

The concept behind BarBara is multifaceted. First and foremost, it aims to be a wine bar where good wine flows abundantly at affordable prices. BarBara is a wonderful addition to Saint-Henri, demonstrating that one can enjoy fine things without breaking the bank. The ambiance is always lively, and it’s also kid-friendly!

Escondite Verdun

Escondite has set up shop on Wellington Street with a new franchise and a more family-friendly concept of Mexican cuisine, while remaining equally delicious. The menu at Escondite Verdun remains the same as at other Escondite locations. Each dish is bursting with flavors, and the company respects the traditions and unique flavors of Mexico while incorporating funky and eccentric elements. The same goes for the cocktails!

Gino's

Located on Boulevard Saint-Laurent, Gino’s offers a simple and affordable formula: lasagna and negroni. Le Butterblume

Open for brunch and lunch, Butterblume’s cuisine is refined without being pretentious. Perfect for an apéro with the little ones, they have a ramp that makes it easy for strollers to access. The dishes at this establishment are delicate and pleasantly surprising in their subtlety. Located at the junction of Mile End and Little Italy, Butterblume is one of our favorite spots in the area.

Café Parvis

Café Parvis is one of our favorite spots in Downtown Montreal. Just steps away from Place des Festivals, the restaurant welcomes visitors from early morning until late at night – leaving everyone feeling happy, and it’s equally welcoming for small families. At Café Parvis, bottles are opened and enjoyed without lingering, encouraging regulars to come and go freely. A selection of delicate cocktails and accessible beers complements the alcohol offerings, making this establishment a versatile destination where customers always feel at ease. Wine bars aren’t exactly plentiful in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighborhood, so the arrival of Supernat, a beautiful café and natural wine bar on Ste-Catherine East, right next to Morgan Park, is cause for celebration. The owners were keen to make Supernat a welcoming place for everyone in the neighborhood, especially young families. Newly a father himself, Olivier insisted on having a changing table in the restroom. Attention young parents: strollers and toddlers are welcome, as are dogs on the terrace!

Nolan

At Chez Nolan, a chic little neighborhood restaurant in Petite-Bourgogne, there’s no need to stress. Whether it’s for a coffee, a drink, or a bite to eat, you’re always welcomed with open arms. We recommend visiting with your children at the beginning of service. It’s truly a friendly spot in the Southwest where you can eat and drink very well.

Gia

This wonderful establishment from the Elena and Nora Gray family offers a tantalizing wine list curated by sommelier Lawrence Fiset. The wine list features natural wines, with an emphasis on Italy. However, Gia brings back into fashion some wines that are less funky but more powerful—a style different from the other properties owned by the same proprietors.

Mano Cornuto

Le Mano Cornuto, nestled in Griffintown, is an address that never disappoints! Ideal for any occasion and at any time of day, it’s a place where you can stop by, with or without the little ones, to indulge in Italian delights such as freshly baked focaccia each morning, delicious pasta dishes, colorful salads, generous sandwiches, or simply for a well-deserved aperitivo!

At the helm of Auberge Saint-Mathieu, Chef Samy Benabed and his cheerful team shine a spotlight on local gastronomy in an enchanting and welcoming setting, all at a very accessible price point.
