Located in ITHQ’s lobby, Blanc Bec is the new little bar featuring local flavours from the famous Montreal hospitality school.
In collaboration with La Famille du Lait, the ITHQ offers a cheese-focused concept for aperitif hour within the school.
While the bar’s primary aim is to showcase artisanal cheesemakers from Quebec, the drink menu also follows the local theme with enticing local products.
There’s something for everyone: wine, beer, cocktails, sparkling wines, ciders – just take your pick!
On the cocktail side, the house offers signature creations made with Quebec spirits. Names like Amarmelade, Avril Amaretto, and Desrochers Vermouth need no introduction, as their reputation with the Quebec public is well-established.
As for the wine list, it presents a delightful mix of local and international products.
When it comes to beer, there are about ten Quebec references that will appeal to both curious drinkers and connoisseurs.
Local cheeses on the menu
The menu features small, shareable plates, perfect for a light snack. Cheese lovers will certainly be satisfied with the local cheese platter, with a rotating selection of three picks from local artisans fromagers, served with jam and nuts. Other tempting menu items include Cheddar Île-aux-Grues cromesquis with tomato and pepper sauce, or the charcuterie board, served with whole-grain mustard and pickles.
The team strives to source locally as much as possible, right down to the bread, which comes from Aube Bakery.
Blanc Bec’s philosophy aligns with ITHQ’s mission: to showcase and highlight the artisanal work of our local producers.
If you’re in the area and looking to enjoy a cheesy bite paired with a great local beverage in a calm and cozy space, Blanc Bec is a great option to consider!
