Located on Centre Street, Sunday Cuisine and Café is a true ode to well-being and health. Led by a young couple well-known in the Montreal culinary scene, Lélia Vincent (Buvette Pastek) and Thomas Vernis (Santos, Uniburger, Mignon, Buvette Pastek, June Buvette) of the Tomahawk Group, the restaurant, opened on May 7th, is already turning heads.

Inspired by their travels to Miami—where the restaurant Pura Vida captivated them with its accessible, quick, and health-focused concept—Lélia and Thomas conceived the idea of creating their own space dedicated to balanced eating without compromising the pleasure of enjoying gourmet dishes.

“I train a lot, I’m very active, and I work a lot. I’m also the mother of two young girls and I often found myself looking for an option to eat on the go, but in a balanced way… I want to offer a complete service with smoothies, salads, wraps, and bowls that are nutritious without being too ‘granola’,” explains Lélia, highlighting Sunday’s philosophy: to offer healthy and tasty dishes tailored to an active lifestyle.

At Sunday, cuisine is synonymous with balance. Generous portions and carefully selected ingredients ensure a satisfying and affordable culinary experience with each visit. With 30 seats and a warm atmosphere, Sunday is not just a counter, but a welcoming space where people can gather and linger alone, with family, or with friends.

The very name of the restaurant, Sunday, evokes the ideal day for rejuvenation. “It’s my favorite day of the week, it’s the day when we take care of ourselves. You do your laundry, your groceries, you take time to rest and spend time with your loved ones. It’s really a day to take care of yourself, and that’s what I wanted to convey with this project,” explains Lélia, highlighting the importance of well-being in Sunday’s vision.

The Sunday menu offers a tantalizing selection of smoothies and smoothie bowls, showcasing the playful aesthetic and freshness of the ingredients. Wraps, salads, and bowls, available on rice or cauliflower rice, offer varied options to satisfy all palates, with even vegan options for those who desire them. Signature dishes like the reinvented chicken Caesar wrap with Greek yogurt sauce and turkey bacon, as well as the avocado toast, are menu must-haves.

Sunday also stands out for its meticulous decor, elegantly combining classic and modern elements to create a chic and welcoming atmosphere. With a terrace in the works, Sunday offers a convivial setting ideal for enjoying the upcoming warm weather.

We wish you continued success in the future!

Restaurants open on Tuesdays

Finding a restaurant open on Tuesdays is becoming challenging. Some restaurants choose to take a break at the beginning of the week.
