SudWest Gyros & Co. is a charming address on Notre-Dame Street West that has been serving very good gyros and other delights with Mediterranean flavours for two years now.
Established at the corner of Greene Avenue and Notre-Dame Street West, SudWest Gyros & Co. is run by Paul Nakis & Duane Slocombe. The space is simple and unpretentious and offers a choice of eat-in or take-out. The Greek-inspired address comes together with the cosmopolitan flavours of Saint-Henri. When the weather is nice, a small wooden terrace is established to enjoy a good meal outside.
The address offers simple but gourmet street food. On the menu, of course, are delicious chicken, pork, and tofu gyros, served with delicious homemade sauces by executive chef Duane Slocombe. For a more substantial meal, we also enjoy a very good roast chicken or revisited poutines. For the carnivores of Saint-Henri, the house offers the “Poutine Provisions” with chicken and chorizo from Provisions Boucherie. As a side, we try the house falafels, salads, and Greek dips.
To accompany it all, we sip refreshing cocktails in the colours of the Mediterranean. Paul Nakis, inspired by the Greek islands, is in charge of the cocktail menu and prepares customized classic mixes. There is also a small selection of Greek wines on the menu that pair nicely with the dishes.
Under the current pandemic regulations, SudWest Gyros & Co. offers its comforting take-out and delivery menu to satisfy your Mediterranean cravings.
