In Côte Saint-Luc, MTL Yardie takes you straight to Jamaica — no frills, just bold, vibrant flavors. Set up in a small, modest counter with a few seats, the décor is simple and unpretentious. You come here for one thing: to eat quickly, generously, and deliciously. Whether it’s for a fast lunch on site or efficient takeout, this spot delivers. As a bonus, it’s also home to MTL Bagels, so you can stock up on Montreal bagels before heading out!

The menu celebrates Jamaican cuisine in all its generosity. The jerk chicken — a true staple of the house — is available in its classic, nicely spiced version, as well as fried for those who love a crispy twist. The menu also features several hearty dishes, all generous in both portion and flavor: fragrant goat curry, steamed snapper, fried lobster tail, and more. MTL Yardie also serves up substantial burgers that impress with their size. Considering the portions, the value for money is genuinely excellent — even more so with their monthly specials, which are well worth checking out.

It’s impossible to talk about MTL Yardie without mentioning the Jamaican patties! At just $3.50, they’re available in beef, chicken, or vegetarian versions. But the real stars are the stuffed patties — more indulgent, generously filled, and packed with flavor. The oxtail version was our favorite during our visit: rich, savory, and perfectly seasoned.

On site, you’ll also find a selection of imported Jamaican products and a great variety of beverages to round out your meal. MTL Yardie also offers catering services, making it a great option for parties and gatherings.

MTL Yardie is an unpretentious address that focuses on authenticity and generosity. Happy discovering!
