Bistro B: The gourmet bistro in the neighbourhood of Montcalm

This delicious restaurant is a member of the Aliments du Québec au Menu program! This means that they have chosen to highlight the wonderful products of Quebec and its producers in their menu – something we find admirable! Aliments du Québec au Menu is a recognition program for restaurants that value Quebec products in their cuisine. To learn more, click here!

Bistro B is a charming neighbourhood bistro in the heart of Montcalm that offers delicious market cuisine in a friendly atmosphere.

Also owner of the restaurant Arvi, François Blais has succeeded in creating a comfortable, feel-good space and offers his customers a gourmet market cuisine. In a space that seats 85, the decor lends itself perfectly to a relaxed evening in an environment unlike our usual little cocoon. And they’ve truly achieved this! You feel at home in this pleasant and accessible local bistro.

Every day you can expect the chef’s surprise! And Chef François Blais is full of surprises! Formerly handwritten every day on a blackboard, the menu has kept its authenticity and offers its clientele a new menu every day. It is the variety of the proposed plates which makes the uniqueness of the place! You can taste different dishes every evening depending on the arrivals. But as the chef of a self-respecting bistro, he can’t afford to take away some of the dishes that make the place famous. Among the most popular items on the menu are his famous sweetbreads, a dish so popular that the chef has no choice but to keep it on the menu. The restaurant’s dishes are synonymous with freshness and comfort.  Simple classics from the bistro repertoire, but mastered with brio and beautifully presented.

As for refreshments, the wine list, made up exclusively of private imports, allows us to discover some very interesting products. As for the cocktail list, they propose an offer that follows the menu’s line of dishes and therefore changes regularly.

With Bistro B, François has succeeded in creating an affordable restaurant with quality products and a pleasant atmosphere. We love going to this little neighbourhood restaurant to spend a relaxed evening and enjoy small dishes made with love.
