In the heart of Vaudreuil-Dorion lies a true culinary gem: La Frite à Brigitte. This establishment exudes authenticity and a love for fries. Behind its success is Brigitte Leblanc, a restaurant enthusiast with over 40 years of experience.

“I’ve been working in restaurants since I was 12,” says Brigitte. Her story begins alongside her father in the family restaurant, where she discovered her passion for the fryer during a Saint-Jean-Baptiste celebration. Since that day, she has never left the kitchen. After acquiring her father’s restaurant and dedicating several years to it, she chose to settle in Vaudreuil-Dorion. It was there that she decided to reconnect with her first passion: fast food. Her goal? To open an establishment that reflects her, proudly displaying her name, where every guest feels welcomed. And so, in 2012, La Frite à Brigitte snack bar was born.

With a special focus on quality and authenticity, she offers a menu highlighting poutine. The best in the area, no less! You’ll find 16 varieties of poutine, some of which change with the seasons, like the famous grilled meat poutine served in the summer. The poutine contains a generous amount of squeaky cheese—no need to ask for extra cheese at La Frite à Brigitte! We have a weakness for the fully loaded poutine topped with sausage, ground meat, American cheese, and coleslaw. The works! While the poutine steals the show, the other items are almost as decadent. On La Frite à Brigitte’s menu board, you’ll also find comforting classics like burgers and their famous hot dog topped with excellent traditional coleslaw and fries on top. It’s the perfect complement!

The decor of the 80-seat restaurant may not be up to date, but who cares? It’s mainly for the delicious poutine that people come here, and for the always smiling service, reflecting the dynamic owner. Brigitte’s three daughters all play more or less direct roles in the company’s operations, but it’s mainly Maxim, as passionate as her mother, who manages the Vaudreuil restaurant with brilliance! “The restaurant industry is mostly a male-dominated field, and we’ve made our mark. It’s a pride for me to see my daughters following in my footsteps, and together, through La Frite à Brigitte, we bridge the gap between our two generations,” Brigitte passionately emphasizes.

If you find yourself in the area, don’t miss La Frite à Brigitte, whether in Vaudreuil-Dorion or at the second establishment in Coteau-du-Lac, opened in 2019.
