Nestled in Saint-Henri, Estelle has been settled into the former Grumman78 space since December 2023. This beautiful spot is the ideal place to celebrate all kinds of occasions while savouring various reinterpreted Italian specialties!
Estelle is the result of a collaboration between Francis Rodrigue (Jellyfish and Pub Jelly), Massimo Caprio, Pino Forgione (Béatrice, Améa), and host Karl Mèche (Bar George), who joined forces to create a lively spot in the heart of a often-overlooked neighbourhood. The fully renovated dining room is striking, with a remarkable aesthetic. While the exterior might suggest otherwise, the interior reveals a décor that’s both chic and timeless. With high ceilings, a marble counter, and wooden tables, the atmosphere is decidedly elegant. Seating hundreds, the restaurant offers optimal comfort, whether for an intimate dinner or a larger gathering. The vibe is festive and dynamic, sometimes enhanced by a DJ to add an extra layer to the experience.
L’arte di mangiar bene
In the kitchen, chef David Tarantini (Béatrice) has crafted a menu that puts Italy front and centre. On the program: handmade pasta, fresh market fish, and grilled meats, spread across five categories: Gli Antipasti, Pasta, La Carne, Pesce, and Contorni. Among the offerings, you’ll find Milanese-style salmon with chili mayo, pickled jalapeños, avocado, and cucumber; agnolotti bolognese with parmesan and butter; as well as the Cassolette di Agnello, featuring lamb chops, labneh, spicy broccoli, marinated peppers, and many other delights. Main courses range from $23 to $52.
The wine list mainly features a selection of around forty classic wines, ranging from $60 to $441, depending on the kind of experience you’re after. As for cocktails, the house offers a few original creations alongside classics to suit every palate.
Estelle is the perfect place to enjoy a festive evening of Italian cuisine in the Saint-Henri neighbourhood!
Enjoy the discovery!
