Prime : Mr. Moishes’ Grand Return

For years, Lenny Lighter, a.k.a. “Mr. Moishes”, warmly welcomed millions of customers to his establishment on Saint-Laurent Boulevard. In 2020, he stepped away from the culinary scene, leaving many saddened, including us.

Today, there’s reason to celebrate as Mr. Lighter reappears. You’ll find this elegant figure at the opening of Royalmount, home to extravagant new food hall Fou Fou. Extravagant like the dimensions of the shopping center—over 800,000 square feet—like the seating capacity of the chic food hall—over 900 seats—and like many projects associated with the name of French magnate Bernard Arnault.

Extravagant perhaps, but everything in this food hall is truly beautiful. It’s hard to imagine Lenny associating with anything ordinary. In this venture, he’s teaming up with Jonathan Dresner and a dynamic brigade of chefs preparing delicious dishes.

Mr. Lighter’s new place is called PRIME Bar à Bœuf, and the name says it all. We are certain that the owner’s great sense of hospitality will be there, contributing to PRIME’s success.

So, what exactly are you offering at PRIME, Mr. Lighter? “Steak-frites, burgers, and tartares made with the best quality meat possible. We’re working with AAA Angus beef and wagyu, ensuring that customers will only have pleasant surprises and will want to return.”

Any other surprises? “Oh yes, of course. For example, the many fans who expressed their disappointment when the famous pickles from my previous establishment disappeared will find them here. There will be poutines, fries, smash burgers, and homemade coleslaw on the side, as well as great Caesar salads.”

And to drink? “I’ve personally selected some good bottles that pair perfectly with what we serve at PRIME.”

At Fou Fou, in the beautifully designed space by Lemay Michaud, you’ll find, among the fifteen banners, some of our favorites like Il Miglio, Le Taj, and Spirulina, to name just a few.

Enjoy exploring and bon appétit at Lenny Lighter’s new table!
